Mobility pillar Baden-Würtemberg

The Mobility Pillar – A guide to sustainable mobility

The mobility pillar is the visible symbol for sustainable mobility in Baden-Württemberg. It marks locations with a wide range of public and shared mobility services – such as buses, trains, car sharing, and bike sharing – and makes it easier to find your way around and access booking information.

With its high recognition value, it makes climate-friendly alternatives to the private car visible and attractive. Depending on the model, it also offers practical features such as a bike repair kit.

At mobility stations, the mobility pillar promotes easy transfers between modes of transport and encourages people to travel flexibly, environmentally friendly, and cost-effectively – for a successful transport transition throughout Baden-Württemberg.

Technical implementation

In collaboration with KEA-BW, the state energy agency, the mobility pillar underwent several iterations of technical development and was quickly put out to tender. We actively supported the implementation at various locations.
